Leading or trailing spaces in translation keys
Andreas “Andy” Bascik
I accidentally made the mistake of having a translation key with a trailing space. Finding my mistake was quite a challenge. My suggestion would be to always trim translation keys, meaning no leading or trailing spaces, in case the user accidentally adds a space at the beginning or end.

A few years ago, the system was trimming translations and translation keys by default, but many people complained about it. Some projects use one (and more!) spaces to align elements on the UI.
We could just add an option to automatically trim translation keys during the import same as it works with the translations and 'TRIM_LEADING_TRAILING_SPACES'
