Hijacking native browser functionality is annoying. If this is wanted behavior, at least fall back to native browser behavior when double tapping the shortcut

You can now disable overriding 'Ctrl + F' in the "Translations" tab by disabling "Override browser search" option in the translation editor settings.

While I'd usually agree with your statement that hijacking native functionality is a dark pattern, I have to admit that I do like it in this particular case, as the search that is built into the UI is really good. But yeah maybe it makes sense to add a fallback.
